I have you here 
Here with me 
Here within me 

Why do they say, no, you aren’t here 
Can’t they see?
See with their heart’s eye

They say you are far away
In the ethers or beyond 
Not that easily found

The greatest loves on earth have known
That being in love
Someday, leads to becoming love 

Once you become it 
You know it 
Know it like your heartbeat 

Separation then is illusory 
An illusion that’s perhaps needed 
Making the union even more infinitely sweeter 

Why do they say, no, you aren’t here 
Can’t they see
